  19. I've been playing around with the mailto: option on mine....I wasn't
  20. getting any replies....I found that 'hostname' is set to the name that
  21. corresponds to the IP address that I'm on.

  23. With AWINC its something like 'pme713.mlc.awinc.com'.....which is dynamic
  24. based on the IP address I got.  The messages just timeout and get returned,
  25. of if a user logs in with SMTP it disappears or loops (I run SMTPd from
  26. InetUtils...so the message loops if its not for me....I redirect to
  27. mail.awin.com, which sends it back...and so on)

  29. I get some stranger 'hostname' with my other ISP...and a similar fiasco
  30. results.

  32. The problem seems none of the ISPs MX back their ports....

  34. I was going to hardcode, except I have 3 ISPs that I use....so I have
  35. different configurations....so I was hoping to have the AReXX file to
  36. have the necessary smarts to do it.

  38. In a more normal (?) case you can set "mailaddress=''" to whatever you
  39. want....

  41. Try sending a message to yourself to see if its working...this is what I did.

  43. What I would like to try is setting the mailto: script to work like the
  44. mailto: handling in ALynx....where I can specify the 'from' address.  Though
  45. I'm not up to speed on Forms programming in HTML, yet.  Also the signature
  46. gets two '-- 's.....because the same signature is used in my news reader
  47. and mail reader which don't automatically add the separator.
